Mother warming her baby

Cold baby means Hard Nights- How to warm your little ones at night

When Cold nights draw in, it starts to get Hard on you and your little ones.

It is time to keep them Comfy and warm and maintain a safe temperature as they sleep. Babies under nine months old Can not control their body temperature, so it may be tempting to give them an extra blanket, But it is necessary to ensure they do not overheat.

There are three considerations to take in mind to keep a baby warm at night.

The first is room temperature, and the baby’s room should be around 16-20°.

The second is clothing with an Organic Egyptian-Cotton all-in-one sleepsuit that covers their feet. Organic Egyptian-Cotton is not only super soft, comfortable, and gentle on your baby’s skin, but it is also porous, helping air pass through evenly, keeping you cool in Summer and warm in Winter. Some sleepsuits also have fold-over mittens attached to keep little hands warm.

If your Baby’s room is towards the colder end of the scale, choosing a vest underneath is the choice.

The third consideration is bedding. Use a fitted sheet with layers of organic Egyptian cotton swaddle cloth blankets, So you can remove layers if your Baby gets too hot or cold. An alternative would be a baby sleeping bag with the correct tog for the room temperature. Remember to put your Baby to sleep at the foot of the cot with sheets and blankets tucked in so they can not wriggle underneath, and check their temperature throughout the night by feeling their stomach.
